Ripple to consider deals for FTX assets: Brad Garlinghouse
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is reportedly interested in buying certain parts of collapsed crypto exchange FTX. Crypto-friendly billionaire Elon Musk has become the sole director of Twitter, following the dissolution of nine former board members, according to newly filed documents. FTX reportedly considers bailing out Celsius via asset bid
Crypto exchange FTX, led by crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), is reportedly considering bailing out Celsius Network by bidding on the bankrupt lender’s assets. Coincidently, the information came out the same day Alex Mashinsky resigned as the CEO of Celsius. “I regret that my continued role as CEO has become an increasing distraction, and I am very sorry about the difficult financial circumstances members of our community are facing,” said Mashinsky while explaining his decision. FTX US wins auction for Voyager Digital’s assets
Cryptocurrency exchange FTX US has secured the winning bid for the assets of crypto brokerage firm Voyager Digital with a bid valued at approximately $1.4 billion according to Voyager. Voyager said the bid was made up of the fair market value of its crypto holdings “at a to-be-determined date in the future” estimated to be around $1.3 billion along with $111 million of what it says is “incremental value,” but did not provide further details. Nexo hires Citibank to advise on acquisitions during market turmoil
Crypto lending platform Nexo says that its strong balance sheet means it can ride to the rescue to provide liquidity during the current market turmoil by acquiring the assets of struggling crypto firms. Nexo offers to buy out Celsius’ loans amid withdrawal suspension
There’s a glimmer of hope for the bear market’s most recent victim. Following reports that Celsius is insolvent, Nexo is offering a buy-out. OpenSea acquires Dharma Labs and a new CTO
OpenSea announced Tuesday the acquisition of Dharma Labs, a cryptocurrency lending platform and digital wallet, for an undisclosed amount. YFI price gains 46% in just four days after Yearn Finance's $7.5M buyback
Yearn Finance (YFI) emerged as one of the best performers in the crypto market this week, rallying by over 46% in just four days to reach a two-week high above $29,100.
