Moneygram to enable users to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrency via mobile app
Global digital peer-to-peer (P2P) payments company MoneyGram has announced on Nov. 1 that users in nearly all U.S. states and the District of Columbia, can buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrency; specifically, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC), via its MoneyGram mobile app. The digital payments company said that it plans to add more digital currencies to its app in 2023, as global regulations allow. Solana smartphone Saga triggers mixed reactions from crypto community
The Solana team has brought mobile phones to Web3 after revealing Saga, Solana’s Android mobile device that will go out with the project’s latest stack for Web3 developers, the Solana Mobile Stack. Meitu loses $17.3M on Bitcoin, gains $14.7M on Ether
Hong Kong tech company Meitu has taken a $17.3-million hit on its Bitcoin (BTC) holdings — but on the upside, its Ether (ETH) holdings have gained $14.7 million. The developer of popular Photoshop-style apps spent a total of $100 million on BTC and ETH between March and April this year, acquiring a total of 940.89 BTC for $49.5 million and 31,000 ETH for $50.5 million. MEW now provides access to 2,000 DeFi and NFT DApps on mobile
Ethereum wallet and interface MyEtherWallet, or MEW, has brought decentralized applications to its 1.3 million monthly users through a new “DApps Browser” feature in the MEW mobile app. The collaboration with DApp analytics site DappRadar opens the door for MEW users to access more than 2,000 Ethereum based decentralized applications including DeFi and NFT based protocols directly from their smartphone. Is Mobile Decentralized Exchange Trading Riskier? Komodo's CTO Says Not Necessarily
Using a decentralized exchange, or DEX, on a mobile device does not necessarily make for greater hacking risk, according to Kadan Stadelmann, CTO of blockchain platform Komodo. "I don’t think that the risk to a mobile DEX is necessarily higher than that of a DEX accessed through another medium," Stadelmann told Cointelegraph.
