Bank of England opens applications for 'proof of concept' CBDC wallet
The Bank of England (BOE) is seeking a “proof of concept” for a wallet that will be able to hold a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). On Dec. 9, the BOE posted a request for applications on the United Kingdom government's Digital Marketplace, a service where government organizations can solicit work for digital projects. Central Bank of Sri Lanka completes proof-of-concept KYC platform
A report presented to Sri Lankan central bank governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal on Monday detailed the results of a now-completed Know-Your-Customer, or KYC, proof-of-concept project. The project Sri Lanka's central bank, also known as the CBSL, included 3 collaborators who developed the Blockchain-based KYC platform concept. The KYC platform was also tested by the CBSL and 10 regional and international commercial banks, including Amana Bank, Bank of Ceylon, Cargills Bank, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, DFCC Bank, Hatton National Bank, HSBC, National Development Bank, People’s Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. China Construction Bank, the world’s second-largest bank by assets, is cooperating with Malaysian and Singaporean partners to test blockchain technology for use in the bond market. US Customs and Border to Trial Blockchain Shipping Proof-of-Concept
A United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) advisory committee is planning to launch a live test of its blockchain-based intellectual property rights proof of concept. The Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) will run its tests from late August to late September, per a report published on the CBP’s website. ZenGo Demonstrates Proof-Of-Concept of a Keyless Wallet for Facebook’s Libra
The non-custodial crypto wallet solution ZenGo has created an open source project that purportedly provides proof-of-concept (PoC) for its ability to support social media giant Facebook’s virtual currency Libra, according to an official announcement by ZenGo on July 2. Rhode Island Solicits Proposals for Blockchain Solutions in Government
The Rhode Island Department of Administration/Division of Purchase in the United States has issued a public solicitation for blockchain solutions via proof-of-concept proposals, according to official documentation published on May 31.
