Decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch has partnered with an animated series that pokes fun at startups in a Silicon Valley-like setting. In a Friday announcement, 1inch said it would be sponsoring the nonfungible token, or NFT, series Take My Muffin in addition to providing its technical expertise for the show and introducing team members to projects in the decentralized finance, or DeFi, space. The series follows the exploits of a team of creatures who attempt to get startup projects off the ground — with general wackiness and blockchain-based solutions aplenty — and is scheduled to be released in the first half …

The launch of Stoner Cats was initially delayed by a day after the team found a bug in the underlying art layers. However, the second attempt was successful and sold out in just “35 meow-nutes,” according to a catastrophic pun from Stoner Cats. We SOLD OUT in 35 meow-nutes! If you got a TOKEn, drop …

Reality show is casting crypto users locked out of their wallets
A casting call for a cable network series may offer crypto users at the end of their rope a way to access tokens locked away — or at least show viewers some of the options available to them. In a LinkedIn post from last month, casting director Jessica Jorgensen called on crypto users who have forgotten their passwords — and presumably their seed phrases — or lost their private keys to wallets with the clock ticking. The series offers consultations from cryptocurrency and cybersecurity experts to help users recover access to their funds. However, it seems participants must be prepared …

Though the initial mention received its share of laughs from the live audience, Musk’s appearance as "financial expert" Lloyd Ostertag on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update segment was more in-depth, and preceded a 30% drop in …

Speaking in the New Rules segment on his show Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday, the comedian said the goal of mining crypto was to “make something that is purposefully arbitrary.” Comparing the crypto space to a virtual game and speaking about mining in a seemingly derisive tone, Maher implied investing in tokens was a childish endeavor which some prominent financial figures like Warren Buffett were avoiding. “There is …
