Crypto investment firm CoinShares debuts trading on Nasdaq Stockholm
Major cryptocurrency investment firm CoinShares has debuted trading on Nasdaq Stockholm, the primary securities exchange of the Nordic countries. CoinShares officially announced on Dec. 19, the first day of trading on Nasdaq Stockholm’s main market, with CoinShares’ stock starting trading on the exchange under the ticker CS. The latest trading debut marks a change of listing venue for CoinShares’ stocks. Previously, CS shares were traded on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, an alternative stock exchange for small and medium-sized companies in Europe. Institutional investors are buying through crypto winter: Survey
A survey of institutional investors suggests that their cryptocurrency allocations have increased over the last year despite the industry going through a prolonged crypto winter. A Coinbase-sponsored survey released on Nov. 22 conducted between Sep. 21 and Oct. 27, found 62% of institutional investors invested in crypto had increased their allocations over the past 12 months. In comparison, only 12% had decreased their crypto exposure, indicating most institutional investors may be bullish on digital assets in the long term despite prices falling, according to the survey. FTX crisis leads to record inflows into short-investment products
Institutional investors have responded to the negative sentiment caused by FTX’s collapse, with record institutional inflows into crypto-focused short-investment products. According to CoinShares’ chief strategy officer James Butterfill, 75% of the total inflows by institutional crypto investors for the week ending Nov. 18 were placed in short investment products — essentially a bet that crypto prices will decline. Amid FTX collapse, crypto funds see largest inflows in 14 weeks
Inflows into cryptocurrency investment products rose sharply last week as institutional investors bought the dip amid the marketwide collapse triggered by FTX’s and Alameda Research’s bankruptcies. Digital asset investment products saw inflows totaling $42 million in the week ending Nov. 13, the largest increase in 14 weeks, according to CoinShares data. Volumes on crypto investment products drop to 2-year low: Coinshares
On Oct 24, European cryptocurrency investment firm Coinshare published its Digital Asset Fund Flows Report, which revealed that digital asset investment products saw $5 million worth of cumulative outflows last week, in a continuation of what it calls an “apathetic period” that began in September 2022. Crypto investment products registered minor weekly outflows last week as volumes plunged to their second-lowest levels of the year, signaling weak demand among institutional investors during the tail end of summer. Outflows from digital asset investment products totaled $8.7 million in the week ending Aug. 21, CoinShares reported Monday. CoinShares launches staked Algorand ETP on Deutsche Boerse Xetra
Major European cryptocurrency investment firm CoinShares is expanding its exchange-traded products (ETP) with a new physically-backed ETP based on Algorand. CoinShares on Thursday announced the listing of its physically-backed staked Algorand ETP on Xetra, the electronic trading platform run by Germany’s exchange operator Deutsche Boerse. Named the CoinShares Physical Staked Algorand, the new crypto investment product will be trading on Xetra under the ticker RAND. The ETP is enabled through CoinShares’ proprietary technology platform Galata, allowing investors to benefit from the 2% staking rewards associated with participating in Algorand's blockchain security. Bitcoin to make new all-time-highs within 24 months: Coinshares CSO
Bitcoin (BTC) may have further to fall, but CoinShares chief strategy officer Meltem Demirors believes the top cryptocurrency will reach new all-time highs within the next 24 months.
