Distribution of assets is 'not possible at this time', says Luna Foundation Guard
The Luna Foundation Guard, or LFG, a fund focused on the Terra ecosystem, has said it cannot provide a timeline to distribute assets to users following stablecoin TerraUSD depegging from the dollar. In an Oct. 7 Twitter thread, LFG cited “ongoing and threatened litigation” in its reasons for being unable to distribute its remaining assets to UST users starting with the smallest HODLers. Wikimedia Foundation shutters BitPay account halting crypto donations
The Wikimedia Foundation, which backs Wikipedia, will shut down its BitPay account and has announced it will stop accepting cryptocurrency donations based on community feedback. The decision to end crypto donations was made after 232 members, or 71% of the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) community, voted in favor of a Jan. 10 proposal that cited energy consumption, ease of use for sanctioned individuals, exposure to crypto scams and environmental sustainability as reasons to stop it. Cardano Foundation and The University of Zurich expand academic blockchain research
Non-profit organization Cardano Foundation has announced a three-year collaboration with the Blockchain Center of the University of Zurich (UZH BCC) to further research initiatives and explore blockchain education development.
